the Mr Sir

I think that this will be the cover of the up and comming Mr Sir Ep

It at least seems fitting seeing as how most of the guitars and basses on the album were put through my old trusty Big Muff. One of my tracks actulay dates from like 2 years ago, i just put some more guitar on it and called it a day, the other one is only a couple months old

Feel It Comming - The guitars were done through guitar rigs orange simulator but were big muffed before entering protools, The bass was DI then put through the Ampex amplitube. They lead synth is my Roland Sh-1000 and the chorus was the Juno 60 with lots of the onboard chorus to try to get it to sound more leslieish.

Shake Me - Basicly the same set up, but the bass was big muffed too, lots of memory man on the clean guitar, and a healthy dose of glockenspeil with some tremolo.

Bleh

This has been a tough few weeks
Matt coming down reminded me of what i love in life, food, traveling music and a good documentary.
Then Breaking up
But having a day out with Owen and Jeff the next day really made me feel better, and hanging out with Steph more lately too has me really feeling a lot closer to the band. It's weird to have this falling out and coming together at the same time in life, but i guess this means I'm off to a new chapter, i just wish every time i moved on with myself it didn't feel like i got cut off from the world as it was before.
But on the music front, the albums starting to come together on my end, i think I'm done the majority of my tracking for 3 or 4 songs and have been writing a lot more lately, something about hectic emotional ups and downs always gets me writing a lot of music.

Some music

Flies on my Duck - Mellotron Cell0 and Choir, Vocals, Timps, Banjo, Acoustic and Vocals) these are just my tracks for the song, its still missing drums, piano, bass and glockenspiel

Take A Little Time - Vocoded Bass and NaNa's with Roland SH-1000 and Yamaha CS-01, Acoustic Guitar, Bontempi Organ, Circuit Bent Sk-1, SH-1000 random note Generator, Vocals, 808 and probably something else I'm missing Again no Drums, Piano, Bass and vocal Harmony.

Dancey Dance Dance? - Just a thing i made the other day fooling around with the CS-01 through a emulation of a Mutron Flanger and moog analog delay, my Danelectro 59Dc through a big muff, Boss Space Echo and a Whammy into A Fender Deluxe Reverb and a sampled Dmx drum kit

Hospitals

Just got back from getting my gallbladder removed.
I can't stand up for more than 30 seconds without the feeling of needing to vomit and also extreme discomfit in my abs. I'm hoping that this will mostly go away in the next couple days and i will be in pristine condition for the debut show of Tyson and his fabulous backing band on the day after the day after next.

Captain Wonderful has been taken off the back burner and new instrumentals are being written, hopefully Matt Steve has enough time in his hectic days to bring forth commencement of recording and writing vocal parts. Poor guy.

Seven Inches of Love

In honor of record store day even though technically it was yesterday, (but boxtr wasn't working so i couldn't upload anything) comes the first digital 7inch from 4th Floor on myspace until boxtr lets me upload songs again.

You're The One (that i love) B/W Stuck On You

Recorded over the past couple days

I figured out that i can take the drums in ez drummer and send them to different tracks for processing, so they sound a bit clearer, and i can put reverb on my snare!

Also just about every guitar part was put through my awesome new Space Echo pedal, god i love that thing.

if you listen closely one of the drum fills was sampled from Dr Dog.

So i was listening to a lot of Tripping Daisy last night and wrote this song that really sounds like them. I think it was also influenced by my sessions with Mr Moskal, maybe its time to make a project to head more in the psychedelic pop rock direction.

The main guitar was put through the speech wah pedal in Guitar Rig with a LFO on it. other than that its mostly just Big Muffed guitar and one with a tremelo and some delay here and there. The vocal in the first halfs of the verses were put through speaker simulation too to grit them up a bit. Enjoy.

So it's been a while, Life has been busy lately.

After my show at the house of Trepid i was told that i had a backing band, we've been practicing once or twice a week and are set to make our debut performance in a couple weeks at the Carl music festival under the name Tyson and the Trepids.

I've gotten work setting up and helping with audio and video at a bar for their blues night video cast every Tuesday, if the boss likes me I'm sure it can lead to an actual job in my Field.

I got a Gallstone and have to get my gallbladder out in a couple weeks, apparently this will supercharge my digestive system.

I think most of my album is going to be recorded with the band at this point, so i think I'm going to put out what was to be my first album as a download soon, also coming as soon as Mr Matt Moskal has some free time from his hectic itinerary will be the Appetite for Salad split as well as Matt's debut album.

Other than that I've just been working, sleeping and waiting for my acoustic to get fixed so i can feel inspired to write and record some music again.
